English Communication Skills

The International Summer School is pleased to continue to work with the University of Liverpool's English Language Centre to provide a language skills course designed to enhance communication skills for work and study.

The main aim of the English Communication Skills (ECS) Pathway is to help students develop all aspects of their English proficiency with a particular emphasis on English for your studies and future career.

Students will enjoy full integration and access to the ISS social programme, the campus, and future alumni benefits.

The pathway consists of three modules:

Modules will provide the opportunity to develop skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing through practical, communicative and collaborative work.

These modules are designed to not only improve your English language skills, but improve them in a practical setting to help you develop skills that can be used as part of future employment and academically. They will also get you out into Liverpool, speaking with locals, learning about local culture and using language in an active way to develop your skills organically.

The programme includes living on campus in ensuite accommodation and a social programme, giving you the opportunity for an amazing international experience living and studying on campus with fellow students from around the world.
