Coming to Liverpool

Liverpool is a globally connected city, with an international airport for European arrivals and easy access to Manchester Airport for the rest of the world. We are two hours by train to London, or there are regular and cheap coaches to all corners of the country.

Arriving by air

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is around eight miles from the city centre and offers flights from various parts of Europe. A low-cost bus service from the airport to the city centre is operated by Merseytravel, and taxis are available outside the airport entrance.

Manchester Airport, which is around 45 minutes from Liverpool, is the destination for flights from around the world. There is a direct rail link from the airport to Liverpool. Alternatively, there is a coach station which provides more cost effective travel.

Arriving by road and rail

Our nearest train station is Liverpool Lime Street, which is a short distance from the University, and National Express coaches stop at Liverpool One bus station, about a 20 minute walk from campus.

Arrival dates can be found on the Fees and Dates page.

If you need any assistance planning your journey, you are welcome to contact us closer to arrival. We will also aim to provide confirmed applicants with further travel information where needed.
