The project "Risk Analysis, Ruin and Extremes" (RARE) is coordinated by Dr. Corina Constantinescu (IFAM Liverpool, UK).

It investigates two major themes:

The project aim is to address rare events and extremes by analysing environmental and financial risks using probabilistic tools. It intends to create an initial worldwide network by supporting regular exchanges between researchers from the 12 participating institutions from Australia, China, France, India, Japan, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, UK and the USA.
