Aims |
This module aims to
provide students with experience of: working independently on an original, real world physics-related problem planning, managing and conducting their own project designing, creating and testing an educational resource related to physics investigating and drawing conclusions on the value of their designed resource presenting and defending their results in written and oral form |
Learning Outcomes |
By the end of the module students will be able to
identify and critically explain, with reference to the forefront of professional practice, a current nationally or internationally recognised educational challenge linked to physics | |
design and create a substantial original educational resource (or set of resources) predicted to overcome a nationally or internationally recognised educational challenge linked to physics |
critically evaluate and draw valid conclusions to justify their educational resource with reference to systematically taken data and/or current literature and advanced scholarship |
define and execute their own project, develop and review a project plan and schedule time to meet deadlines |
communicate the conclusions of the project concisely, accurately and informatively |
Syllabus |

The project will seek to overcome a nationally recognised education challenge related to physics e.g. to bridge a gap between A-Level and Higher Education. |
Teaching and Learning Strategies |
