The majority of teaching will be delivered face-to-face on campus. Online delivery will be used to complement the on-campus delivery and where technology affords a better learning experience.

Seminar:
The module is taught by a weekly seminar on Italian grammar, a seminar on Italian texts, focused on reading and writing practice, a speaking practice tutorial and a language laboratory session. The teaching builds on the skills developed in Semester One. Consistent use of the target language, the personal contribution of students and a collaborative approach are important elements of the module. Tutorials are arranged to discuss performance in tests and coursework and to provide additional support where necessary. Introductory notes to the module distributed in the first semester include information and guidance on semester programme, weekly schedule, workload, assessment and a bibliography of supporting multimedia facilities. These are located either in the Language Lounge o r in the Sydney Jones Library. The module is intensive and requires regular commitment. Students are expected to attend all sessions, to hand in weekly directed work and to follow up classes with further reading and listening activities.

Tutorial:
To foster a reflective approach to learning students are encouraged to compile a personal learning diary to inform the reflective component of their portfolio and discuss progress at tutorials.

This module will cover topics such fashion and the "Made in Italy" industry, work and the business environment. Grammar will cover aspects like the use of past tenses, comparisons, future and conditional tenses, the imperative and an introduction to the subjunctive.
