Aims |

Students will acquire introductory knowledge of the history of Cinema; Students will be introduced to critical debates that have arisen during particular decades; Examine the relationship between film, political events, and the broader cultural and social context in which films were made; Explore global themes and topics from a range of geographical perspectives throughout history; Encourage critical analysis of cinematic and theoretical material and reflection on the practice of criticism. |
