Aims

To provide students with first class research training at Master's level in Biomedical Sciences in an interdisciplinary research environment.

Learning Outcomes

(LO1) Collect, analyse and critically interpret scientific data in an area of biomedical research.

Syllabus
 

All students spend 10 weeks working full time on a dedicated research project, the content of which is directed by the academic supervisor of the project. Students will be given initial training in relevant research techniques required for the project, but will develop the ability to work independently as the project progresses. Generic guidance on preparation of the written report and oral/poster presentation is given via Science Skills sessions in the BIOM604 module, supplemented by project-specific guidance via the academic project supervisor.
