Aims |

The module is designed to enable students to develop a sound understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by HR professionals. This includes the competencies needed by HR professionals in a personal capacity, when collaborating and working with others, and when functioning efficiently and effectively in an organisational context. It will enable students to assess their own strengths and identify a continuing professional development plan, based on the capabilities required for ethical, business-focused and interpersonal professional conduct. |

This module is designed to develop the fundamental skills needed for professional HRM practice. Students will engage with HRM strategy debates, the preparation of a business focused report on a HR issue, enhancing employee engagement, learning and development, performance and reward management. There will be the opportunity to develop interviewing and appraisal skills. |
