Aims

To introduce and explain provocative and contemporary issues in International Business
To critically analyse contemporary phenomena and their impact to MNEs activity and the Global community
To build students critical thinking and critical discussion skills
To be able to develop and express their own perspectives on the phenomena discussed and any other phenomena in a structured and convincing manner
To enable students to prepare for the IB challenges that they may face as future business leaders

Teaching and Learning Strategies

Teaching Method 1: Lectures
Scheduled Directed Student Hours: 16.5 hours
Description: 1.5 hours per week for 11 weeks (11 lectures in total). Students will have to physically attend on Campus the weekly lectures

Teaching Method 2: Lectures / Presentation
Scheduled Directed Student Hours: 2.5
Description: In the Week after the Easter break the students will have to present their group project so we need to schedule for a 2.5 hours lecture to allow students sufficient time to present their projects. It is compulsory for all students to attend and observe the presentations of their classmates.

Teaching Method 3: Seminars
Scheduled Directed Student Hours: 6 hours
Description: 1 hour seminar every other week (6 seminars in total – starting in week 2). Students will have to physically attend on Campus the seminars. Seminars will consider a variety of case studies and discussion questio ns in order for students to consolidate understanding and explore areas of ambiguity inherent in the module content.

Description: 1 hour for 8 weeks . Students will have to engage with specific learning material (read an academic paper, read a case study, watch a video, etc.) prior coming to the lecture.
