Aims

The Strategic Human Resources Management module focuses on providing a sound foundation in people management issues.

This elective will focus throughout on how its concepts and theories contribute to the strategic management aims of organisations, rather than limiting discussion to routine HR practices and procedures of a day-to-day nature.

It is expected that the human resources module will challenge students to gain a critical understanding of the importance of acquiring knowledge of both external and internal environmental factors which will directly impact upon the success of the organisation so that they can formulate and develop appropriate human resource policies and strategies which both reflect and meet the needs of all stakeholder groups.
