Aims |

The aim of this module is to provide students with understanding of contemporary people management issues from a performance management perspective. The module will engage with contemporary debates in human resource management issues such as engagement, commitment and capability. |

The syllabus will generally cover: The strategic role and context of performance management; Individual, group and organizational performance management systems; Performance management and developing personal, group and organizational capability; Performance management roles and responsibilities, performance and reward; Managing engagement and commitment; Human capital; Contemporary challenges in performance management and East/West differentials in performance management systems. |
