    I teach on the first year field course, usually in the Lake District or Yorkshire Dales, and occasionally on the second (France) and third year (Uganda) field courses. Most of my field teaching is about experimental design, behavioural ecology, and observing animal behaviour in nature.

    I teach on animal behaviour courses, particularly focusing on the evolution of cooperation and conflict. I run a Masters course on Evolution and Behaviour.

    I take a lot of Honours and Masters students into my research group, typically studying aspects of fruit fly behaviour and evolution. Many of my students have produced such high quality work that we have been able to publish it, and I'm very proud of these students.
