Dean, School of Veterinary Science School of Veterinary Science

    Research

    Research Overview

Professor Lunn’s initially focused on basic characterization of equine immune responses, which he subsequently applied to studies infectious disease. His research focused on characterizing protective immune responses to influenza virus and EHV-1 infection in horses, and understanding the immunoregulatory networks that determined protection. Professor Lunn's laboratory worked to develop new vaccination approaches, and to evaluate the efficacy of new and existing commercial vaccination products. More recently his interests have focused on infectious diseases of working equids in low-income countries.
