    About

    Personal Statement

I am a molecular microbiologist with research interests in molecular mechanisms of Gram-negative bacterial pathogens. I completed my MSc from University of East Anglia in 2011 before moving to Canada to pursue my PhD. I studied for my PhD at the University of Manitoba from 2014 to 2019, where my thesis was focused on environmental determinants of antibiotic resistance and virulence mechanisms of the opportunistic pathogen Acinetobacter baumannii.

I joined the laboratory of Dr. Kate Baker as a research associate here at the IIB of University of Liverpool in 2019.
