Current Group Members

  • Professor James Stewart is group leader and Chair of Molecular Virology at the Institute of Infection and Global Health. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the University of Georgia, Athens, USA
  • Dr Gail Leeming completed her PhD in the lab in 2007, working on the expression of SCGB1A1/CCSP and BPIFA1/SPLUNC1 in the respiratory tract after virus infection.  Her thesis is available online.  She is now a Lecturer in Veterinary Pathology.
  • Dr Nathifa Moyo joined the lab in 2013.  She is working on a project determining the function of BPIFA1 in the host response to virus infection.
  • Dashty Amin is a qualified Vet and is currently studying for a PhD in the area of Ovine herpesvirus 2 pathogenesis
