Public Engagement and Involvement

‌Our work is about more than science: it's also about the people it serves

We understand that our work doesn't just belong in academic papers - it belongs in the public realm, where it can deliver meaningful change. However science can be complex and daunting, so over the years we've developed a public engagement and involvement programme that is dynamic, diverse and far reaching.

We work closely with schools to deliver everything from work experience placements to fun, interactive science workshops. We get out there and meet the public at festivals and museums. We collaborate with artists to find new and interesting ways to engage people with our work. We also run a Public Involvement Panel that allows patients, public and partners to have a voice in the research that we do.
