Research with impact

Our goal is to generate excellent research and to ensure it is used to maximum effect in meeting real world challenges. We collaborate with a range of partners for teaching and research, internationally, nationally and locally, particularly with the cultural and creative sector in Liverpool.

Examples of impact from our Schools

The leaflets below showcase research which has been carried out in our four Schools. From film research focused on Liverpool to youth gangs and street violence in late Victorian Manchester, from children's rights in the EU to shaping devolution in Wales, find out more about how each School has contributed to making an impact, both locally and internationally.

You can also find out more about individual projects by visiting our research projects page or on individual Departments' research pages.

Our latest publication 'Working together, making an impact' provides an overview of our key research expertise, facilities and equipment, and provides information about the ways in which this expertise can be accessed. It also features a variety of case studies that show how working with the University has made a real difference to a range of businesses, public sector organisations and communities.
