Flagship Schemes

We run a number of initiatives and schemes across the Faculty, find out about some of our flagship schemes below.

Writing@Liverpool

This scheme provides free academic writing advice and support to students across the Faculty. It provides guidance on analysing questions, becoming more critical, planning and structuring writing, and developing proof-reading techniques through online support and one-to-one sessions run by our postgraduate tutors.

Undergraduate Research Scheme

This scheme, now entering its second year, offers undergraduate students the opportunity to take a paid summer placement to assist with a research project within the Faculty. This provides students with valuable skills and experience for their future careers.

Centre for Higher Education Studies

The centre offers doctoral study and also conducts research in the field of higher education. The centre, based in the School of Histories, Languages and Cultures, develops pedagogical skills and understanding.

Faculty funding

The Faculty provides funding to enable staff to develop educational practice through small projects which act as catalysts for enhancement and improvement. The funding allows staff to be creative in their approach, and many projects go on to become established schemes.

Student-led Enhancement Projects

The enhancement projects bring improvements to the student experience through partnership between colleagues, course representatives and students. These projects are a key way for students to have an active input into the student experience.

Working Groups

We have a number of working groups and networks that draw upon our expertise in employability, technology, academic advisership, community and belonging, and digital education.
