‘Reading Communities: Connecting the Past and the Present’ at Liverpool

Published on

Liverpool provided an ideal venue for a set of public engagement events associated with the Open University’s ‘Reading Communities’ project, with which a number of academics at the University, including Dr Mark Towsey in the Department of History have collaborated.

Lectures and discussions were held at The Athenaeum, a club whose library was established by its founders and includes books owned by William Roscoe and in the School of the Arts Library, coinciding with an exhibition, ‘Knowledge is Power’ in the Victoria Gallery and Museum.
