MARM student wins dissertation prize
We are delighted to learn that Matt Bazley, a student on the Masters in Archives and Records Management programme in the Department of History, has been awarded the Historic Society of Lancashire and Cheshire’s postgraduate dissertation prize for 2014 for his edition of manorial accounts from the Manor of Bickley, Cheshire, 1395-1465.
Manorial records are a very valuable resource for local, social and economic history and the Bickley accounts are a rare survival for the county of Cheshire.
