We are delighted to learn that Liverpool MA student, Laura Burnham (originally from Saint Charles, Missouri in the United States) has secured a fully-funded Graduate Teaching Assistantship position at Liverpool Edge Hill University, commencing in September 2014.

Laura is currently finishing her Master's degree in International Slavery Studies in the Department of History, having already gained a First Class Bachelor's degree in History at Liverpool University in 2013. Laura’s Ph.D. project at Edge Hill will examine differing representations of the African-American freedom struggle in museums throughout the United States and will include fieldwork at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute - Birmingham, Alabama - and the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
