About the event
Dr Grig’s work on popular culture bases itself in the fascinating but under-explored period of late Antiquity. Most recently, she has edited Popular Culture in the Ancient World, and is is a member of the Governing Board of the International Late Antiquity Network. She currently holds a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship, which funds work on the social and economic contexts of change in popular culture, and in this paper she will share some of the findings that have emerged from this ongoing project.
