About the event

Can contextual data in Higher Education admissions create fair access and effectively widen participation in Higher Education? The gap between the rich and the poor in the UK is widening, and education is recognised as an established route out of poverty. Many young people face immense personal and societal barriers during their educational journey, yet university admissions systems are notoriously immovable. This research examines how data can identify educational attainment in context, and how this information can promote fairer access to HE.
