Support from the Vice Chancellor, Professor Janet Beer
The Institute has worked to progress gender equality across the schools and have skilfully met the challenge of doing this in a way which reflects the diversity of subject areas and the staff and students who work and study within them. The work undertaken in is absolutely consistent with our aim of having a University which is fair, inclusive and supportive for all of our staff and students.
Support from the Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor R D Burgoyne
The Faculty is whole-heartedly behind the Institute in their endeavour to support and advance the careers of women through the embedding of good practice and through the championing of the changes in culture necessary for success. The Institute has had a major focus on the appropriate recognition of staff contribution and career progression to ensure the movement of female staff to senior positions and will continue to pursue this agenda for all of its staff.
