Fees & Dates

At the University of Liverpool we welcome both exchange and visiting Study Abroad students. Please see below to identify which student type you are.

Exchange students:

International exchange students come from universities where we have an exchange partnership. You will be selected by your home university to study with us for either a semester or a full academic year. Exchange students do not pay any tuition fees to the University of Liverpool; you pay tuition to your home university only. You will be awarded credit for your studies and a transcript of your grades will be sent to your home university for credit transfer. Exchange students may be eligible to receive scholarships from their home university or state funding; ask your home university Study Abroad office for more details.

Visiting students:

Visiting students come from universities where we do not have an exchange partnership. You can come to study with us for either a semester or a full academic year. You will pay tuition fees to the University of Liverpool for the duration of your stay. You will be awarded credit for your studies and a transcript of your grades will be sent to your home university for credit transfer.

Visiting tuition fees for the academic year 2024/25: 

Visiting students from one of our partner universities will be eligible for a 10% tuition discount.

Semester 1/Full Year students are expected to arrive in Liverpool by the Monday before classes begin for a mandatory orientation. Semester 2 students are expected to arrive by the Sunday before classes begin for a mandatory orientation (to be held on that Sunday).
