Giving back... to the future

A legacy gift will benefit the University long into the future and is a wonderful way of commemorating a life.

Since its foundation more than 100 years ago, the University has been fortunate to have benefited from legacy donations.  Legacy income represents a valuable source of funding, enabling us to plan for the future, fund unforeseen opportunities, and stay at the forefront of groundbreaking research.

We understand that a legacy is one of the most personal gifts you can make and would like to work with you to make sure any bequest is used in exactly the way you would wish.

Providing a legacy can also help reduce inheritance tax on your entire estate. We can talk you through the important steps to consider before you consult a solicitor.

The University is an exempt charity under the terms of the Charities Act 2011 (Exempt Charity Number: X7758). The Office for Students (OfS) is the principal regulator of those higher education institutions that are exempt charities.

If you would like to discuss a legacy gift or would like further information, including suggested wording for inclusion in your Will, please contact Stephen Kehoe on 0151 795 4637 or email Stephen.kehoe@liverpool.ac.uk.
