A-Level Masterclass in Regeneration

The Department of Geography & Planning welcomes you to join us at the University of Liverpool’s London campus for an afternoon of lectures and exercises on Regeneration.

This will be of particular interest to Geography A-Level students interested in issues of regeneration, place making, economic change, and society. You will also learn more about the courses the Department offer in Planning, which are particularly suitable for A-Level Geography students.

The schedule for the day is:

12.30pm – 1.00pm: Arrival and Welcome

1.00pm – 1.45pm: Taster lecture: ‘Changing Places: Detroit’

1.45pm – 2.30pm: An exercise on Changing Places and Regeneration

2.30pm – 3.00pm: Refreshment break

3.00pm – 3.30pm: Planning and its links to Geography

3.30 – 3.45pm: Round-up and finish

Speakers will talk on material which is of key relevant to Edexcel, Eduqas, OCR and AQA curricula. All sessions will be delivered by academics in the Department of Geography & Planning, who will be on hand to answer questions.
