The Garstang Research Centre offers a purpose-built space designed to enable and enhance high-quality research

At the Garstang Research Centre you can expect:

  • A remodelled research space within the museum facilities
  • Improved storage systems and object handling capacity
  • Enhanced environmental controls and monitoring
  • Upgraded security systems
  • A ceiling-mounted visualiser to support hybrid and remote research access

Researchers may also be able to bring material for analysis, supported by the Centre’s secure and adaptable facilities.

Photography requests

We can also supply high-resolution digital images of museum objects and archive material, including John Garstang’s photographic archive. We also welcome requests for new photography of material not currently in our image library.

Reproduction rights are also available for a range of uses. Please be advised that these rights may involve a charge.
