Bequests are the lifeblood of the Friends and are what enable us to make grants to a wide range of projects and activities which would not otherwise be funded.
Recent bequests have included:
- £296,811 from Jack Roberts.
- £45,602 from Kenneth Johnson Brookfield.
- £3,680 from former founder and first chairman Reg Davies.
- £1,000 from Emeritus Professor Richard (Dick) Lawton.
Many other Friends have already remembered the University in their will. We are most grateful for such remembrance and we hope many more Friends will follow the trend.
It is a simple matter to arrange and requires the following form of words:
I give to Friends of the University of Liverpool (registered charity 516059) the sum of £......, free of capital transfer tax and all other duties and taxes (if any) payable by reference to my death, and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer for the time being of the said charity shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors.
Please consider making a bequest to the Friends to enable us to keep up our good work into the future.
