Located in the heart of the University campus, University Square the Augustus John is the University of Liverpool's very own award-winning real ale public house.
Known locally as the AJ, the Augustus John is a CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed pub next to Blackwells bookshop on Brownlow Hill.
A warm welcome is offered to students, University staff and anybody else lucky enough to stumble upon us. As many will testify, a night in the AJ is an education in itself!
We are open for indoor and outdoor seating, no booking required just turn up and enjoy. You can now order from your table using Loyalty Plus, sit back and relax with your colleagues and friends and we will bring your drinks to you.
