DESCRIPTION:November 2017 marks 200 years since Liverpool Royal Institution was established, and received an inaugural address from the Institution’s first president, William Roscoe.The Institution held lectures in both the arts and sciences, and housed a collection of art, natural history, and antiquities. To celebrate this anniversary, the University will host a reading of Roscoe’s address, followed by a visit to an exhibition of Royal Institution-related holdings at University Special Collections and Archives.
