Essentially,      Emmanuel Adegbite will share from his own experiences and challenges, as a ‘global majority scholar’ on how to build a research career, including international careers and publication strategy.BiographyEmmanuel Adegbite is ranked top 0.2% in the world in governance    research, top 0.3% in the world in corporate governance research and top 1% in the world in accounting research by ScholarGPS life-time 2024 rankings, which also ranked him 36th (lifetime) and 26th (prior five years) in the world in terms of corporate governance research quality. He is also placed in the top 0.5% of all scholars (in all fields) worldwide. Emmanuel is professor of accounting and corporate governance at Nottingham University, UK and a visiting professor in management and governance at James Cook    University, Singapore. He has relatable experiences with EDI challenges in the HE sector, and has helped to address these at the  departmental, school, faculty and university levels. At the University of Nottingham, he has chaired the university’s Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gaps Task Group as well as led on the  successful Bronze Race Equality Charter submission for the university, and subsequently chaired its Implementation Group.
