DESCRIPTION:The HarrisonParrott Foundation presents a symposium focussed on Higher Education and the Music Industry Pipeline: a dynamic mix of presentations, workshops, and performances designed to engage and inspire.The event features a series of concise expert presentations punctuated by a collaborative workshop, a musical interlude by University of Liverpool students, and a closing concert. Enjoy the unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge, engage in structured discussions, and network during our cocktail hour.Following this education symposium focussing on early-stage careers in classical music, there will be a networking then a concert, Op.1, as a musical representation of making that first leap from student to professional. This concert will present a collection of ‘Op. 1s’, or first public works by new composers, from a diverse range of artists, from ‘the greats’ to living composers. The performance will feature a diverse range of artists from HarrisonParrott, Foundation partners, and the University of Liverpool with their partners.Join us for the whole day, or just the evening concert, an unforgettable celebration of musical excellence, where each note resonates with the potential for a flourishing career in the arts.
