SUMMARY:The History of the Conservative Party Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Network for the Interface of Classics and Politics are delighted to be once again hosting its annual conference in the Department of Politics at Liverpool. In previous years, the Network have invited renowned national and international scholars to talk about a wide range of theoretical, international, and national political concepts such as rhetorical theory, the ancient world, and the leadership of contemporary political figures. This year, the Network will be hearing from similarly prominent figures to talk about the totality of the UK Conservative Party and its history. It will take a wide view of what the Conservative Party has historically achieved, going back to the age of Empires, the industrial revolution, the interwar years, and the postwar reconstruction. The papers represent the initial research aims of a 60+ chapter handbook under contract with Routledge (edited by Drs David Jeffery and Andrew S. Roe-Crines).
