An insightful and engaging talk with current and former civil servants: discover what it is really like to work at the heart of government. Organised in collaboration with the Politics Society, this event brings together Matt Dickinson, a University of London Politics alumnus (class of 2021) currently working at the Department of Health and Social Care, alongside other guests from across the sector. Together, they will share first-hand accounts of their career journeys, day-to-day experiences, and the range of opportunities available within the Civil Service.

Whether you are already interested in public service or just curious about where a government career could take you, this talk offers a look at the range of roles and paths on offer, plus practical advice on getting started and making the most of opportunities within the Civil Service. There will also be a Q&A for honest, first-hand insights.
