Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.
Microsoft Outlook: Download the file, double-click it to open it in Outlook, then click on "Save & Close" to save it to your calendar. If that doesn't work go into Outlook, click on the File tab, then on Open & Export, then Open Calendar. Select your .ics file then click on "Save & Close".
Google Calendar: download the file, then go into your calendar. On the left where it says "Other calendars" click on the arrow icon and then click on Import calendar. Click on Browse and select the .ics file, then click on Import.
Apple Calendar: The file may open automatically with an option to save it to your calendar. If not, download the file, then you can either drag it to Calendar or import the file by going to File >Import > Import and choosing the .ics file.
The 2026 conference will be held in Liverpool, UK from 6th to 9th October, with sessions based at the Hope Street Hotel. The programme will include a mix of talks, training workshops, demonstrations and discussion sessions focused on the development and use of DataSHIELD. Alongside the main programme, there will be dedicated opportunities for networking, as well as social activities across the city.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts submissions are now open: 2026 DataSHIELD Conference Abstract Submission
Abstacts for talks, discussion sessions, and software demonstrations close at 5:00pm on 15th May 2026 (BST). For abstracts requiring visas, where the relevant box has been ticked on the abstract form, the deadline is 30th April, with decisions issued by 15th May.
Call for posters closes 17:00 (BST) 15th September 2026 unless allocation is filled.
Registration
Tickets are £390.00 + VAT, offering excellent value with a full programme of activity and networking. Registration includes dinner, inspiring keynote talks, networking and a range of opportunities for training and professional development. Attendees will also enjoy a conference dinner and an exclusive tour at Liverpool Football Club.
