Lecturer in Soft Tissue Surgery
Padraig graduated from Dublin veterinary school in 2005 and then spent 2 years working in mixed practice in Lancashire. Following this he worked at Fethard Equine Hospital, Coolmore, Ireland for 2 years and then spent a year working in racing / stud practice in New Zealand. On returning to the UK, Padraig completed a residency in Equine Surgery at the University of Glasgow before joining the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital in Autumn 2014. Padraig is a European and RCVS Specialist in Equine Surgery and is currently completing his Masters’ degree thesis on equine upper airway disease. He is interested in all aspects of Equine Surgery with particular interests in upper respiratory tract diagnostics and surgery, poor performance in the equine athlete, lameness and arthroscopy.
