Coming to Study English at Liverpool

Coming to Study English at Liverpool

At Liverpool you will have the opportunity to study English from the medieval period to the present day. Whether looking at Renaissance poems or politician’s tweets, English at Liverpool explores how people think and feel through language and literature, to consider questions around identity, politics, history and communication.

We have revamped our English programme to offer you a wider range of modules and learning activities than ever before, from field trips to digital and creative assessments.

Below you can watch an introductory video about your first-year undergraduate study from our staff on the English Literature BA (Q320), and the English Language BA (Q310); and if you are taking advantage of the combined course in English (Q300), you might like to watch both videos for a full overview of the programme.

You can also hear from our current students on what they have enjoyed most about studying at Liverpool.
