Biography: Razan Altamimi, from Jordan/Kuwait, is a Ph.D. student in corpus-based, socio-historical studies in the University of Liverpool. Before starting her Ph.D., she studied English Language in Kuwait as an undergraduate, and earned her MA degree in the University of Liverpool. During her first year as a Ph.D. student, Razan has participated in the PALA conference (2019) and volunteered as an organizer. She is also attending workshops and webinars that mainly focus on writing skills. In her leisure time, she enjoys visiting other cities in the UK.

Research interests: She is interested in children’s literature, corpus linguistics, socio-historical linguistics, and gender ideologies. In her research, she is investigating the gender stereotypes in the Brothers Grimm fairy tales using the corpus analysis and critical discourse analysis approaches.
