Biography: Lotte holds a BA Degree (Cum Laude) in English Language & Culture and a Research MA Degree ((Summa) Cum Laude) in Language & Cognition from the University of Groningen. During these degrees she was also a teaching and research assistant at the University of Groningen, and a research intern at the University of Nottingham. She joined the University of Liverpool as a PhD Candidate in October 2017.

Research: Lotte’s research interests lie predominantly in the fields of Language & Gender and Queer Linguistics. Her PhD research focuses on the representation and construction of female voters in the context of the recent UK general elections and the Brexit referendum in the UK press by means of corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis methodologies.
