Thesis title: ‘Christina Rossetti: A Life of Poetry.’ A re-location of Christina Rossetti’s poetry and life within the detailed historical contexts of her friendships, her family relationships and her London neighbourhood.

Biography: Gemma was a secondary school teacher of English for 13 years before completing an MA in Victorian Literature at the University of Liverpool in 2012. She began her PhD (part-time) in 2013. English BA (Hons) at Bristol University, 1990.

Research interests: 19^th century Literature; the Pre-Raphaelite artistic movement; the life and poetry of Christina Rossetti: 19^th century history of London.
