Variation and Style in Liverpool English
This is an overarching project that comprises of two strands: 1) the qualitative exploration of social meaning, orders of indexicality and identity of Liverpool English (LE) in secondary school classrooms and 2) the creation and systematic annotation of a large corpus of LE that can be used for automatic speech recognition.
