Pick up your All Day Pass for Liverpool Literary Festival family events

Liverpool Literary Festival is offering a special All Day Pass for its Sunday family programme; with the chance to spend time with a Runaway Robot, catch up on The Donut Diaries and hear the fate of best friend brothers, Nick and Kenny.
There are four family focused events taking place at the Literary Festival, and they all fall on Sunday October 21 - with enough time in between for some lunch, snacks, drinks, or a little explore of the University of Liverpool campus.
All are being hosted in Mountford Hall, part of the University’s recently renovated Guild of Students and just opposite the iconic Victoria Gallery & Museum.
First up, on Sunday morning, is best-selling author, Anthony McGowan who will take the audience on a rude and raucous journey with the hapless, overweight hero of his Donut Diaries trilogy, Dermot Milligan.
Not long after this, and ahead of lunch, Merseyside’s own Frank Cottrell-Boyce will introduce Sputnik’s Guide to Life on Earth and Runaway Robot. The latter follows the heart-warming, hilarious and unlikely friendship between a one-legged robot and Eric, a boy who loves hanging out at airports.
Catherine Johnson, author of Blade and Bone, Sawbones and The Curious Tale of the Lady Caraboo, kicks off the afternoon events with her engaging show: Life & Death, Extreme Surgery, Lying and Good Frocks.
Catherine is an award-winning writer of historical fiction, who will deliver some fascinating insights into the quirks of life during times very different to ours.
Anthony McGowan then returns for our final Family Event of the day. The 2018 Carnegie Prize nominated children’s writer will bring his Brook/Pike/Rock trilogy to life, and reveal everything you could want to know about brothers, Nick and Kenny as they travelled along their journey from despair and deprivation, to the heights of joy and friendship.

The All Day Pass for Liverpool Literary Festival’s Family Events programme is available to purchase for £10. Tickets are also on sale for each individual event, at £4 each. Each All Day Pass or individual ticket admits one child and one adult.
