Social and Welfare

Welcome to the Social and Welfare Team!

Our team are dedicated to making sure that you have the best experience possible throughout your whole student journey with the English Language Centre. Whether you are on a bespoke course, Pre-sessional English or an Activate English or IELTS student, we are here to help with all the non-academic parts of your experience.

We organise a full social programme of trips and activities throughout the year that all ELC students can access for free as a part of their course. We love hearing feedback from students about where they would like to see and what they would like to experience during their time here. We are keen to ensure that our social programme suits the needs of all our students, regardless of age, background or circumstances. You can see more about our Social Programme here.

We are also here to help if you encounter any difficulties while you are with us, or have any questions about any aspects of life in the UK. We have a dedicated Social and Welfare Officer who is available to meet with students to discuss any concerns and can help you to access the specialist University services relevant to your situation. You can read more about this in the Welfare section.

We think you will love studying with us in Liverpool and we are excited to show you all that the city has to offer. We run regular trips to local landmarks, including a Beatles bus tour from Penny Lane to Strawberry Fields, trips to Anfield and Goodison Park, home of the Liverpool football clubs, and walking tour of famous sights. There is so much to see and do, with lots of shopping, history and culture. We can’t wait to make you feel at home here.
