English Language Centre:
COVID-19 Update

Having monitored developments in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, during the next academic year, the English Language Centre plans to offer our Pre-Sessional English students who are entering their academic courses in autumn 2020 a combination of face-to-face teaching in smaller groups, online classes for both smaller and larger groups, and 1-to-1 tutorials.

Currently, the Pre-Sessional courses and assessments will be delivered fully online due to international travel restrictions, and face-to-face teaching will only take place where and when it is safe to do so, with social distancing and new hygiene arrangements in place to protect the wellbeing of students and staff.

The online classes will be delivered live and will provide opportunities for you to interact with your tutors and classmates.

These arrangements apply only to the 2020-21 academic year, but may need to change as a result of future changes to government guidance.

In addition, to cater for students who will be starting their academic course in January 2021, we are offering an additional 10-week Pre-Sessional English course beginning in October and ending in December 2020. This course will be fully online, and further information on this course can be found here.
