Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace engineers design and manufacture aircraft and helicopters, along with components such as aeroengines and undercarriages. They use leading edge technologies to minimise aircraft weight, maximise fuel efficiency and to ensure aircraft safety. Our Undergraduate degree programmes have been developed in consultation with the UK’s leading aerospace companies, ensuring our graduates are "industry ready".

If your ambition is to become a commercial pilot, our Aerospace with Pilot Studies degrees include flight training towards a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL), the opportunity to complete a PPL and the option to start training for more advanced frozen Air Transport Pilots licence (ATPL).
