Personal Statement

Dr. Suraj Gupta is currently appointed as an Honorary Fellow at the School of Engineering, University of Liverpool. He received his doctoral degree from the Department of Physics, University of Mumbai, India in 2016. Following his doctorate, he worked as a National Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India (2017-18) and then moved to Liverpool as a Commonwealth Rutherford Fellow (2018-20). His present research is focused on heterogeneous nanocatalysis for renewable energy applications, mainly electrocatalytic and photocatalytic water-splitting and direct electrolysis of seawater.
