Research Interest 1

My primary research interest is in Boundary Layer Transition. My research group uses both numerical and experimental techniques in order to improve the understanding of the laminar to turbulent transition process in fluid mechanics. Current applications include the prediction of heat transfer on gas turbine bladesand losses on helicopter rotors, but the results of our work can be applied to much more general problems in fluid mechanics. One major objective is to derive a suitable general mathematical model for transition which can be included in commercial CFD codes.
I also have an interest in developing numerical methods for cartesian grid CFD methods.
