Adaptation to climate change
In a new initiative with the School of Environmental Sciences we are modelling climate change impacts and identifying / developing suitable engineering strategies, such as coastal defence and robust building design methods.
Engineering risk and uncertainty
We are working with colleagues in Mathematics, Environmental Sciences and Social Sciences to develop new engineering strategies that accommodate the uncertainties of climate change, shifting demographics and declining natural resources. Visit the Institute for Risk & Uncertainty.
