Centre for Engineering Education
Pioneers in engineering education
Established in 2011, the Centre for Engineering Education researches, develops, shares and supports best teaching and learning practice, within the School of Engineering and nationally.
Staffed by full-time School of Engineering employees, we undertake the following:-
- research and development of specialist engineering teaching methods and technologies, with an emphasis on e-learning
- development and support for academics who wish to increase their skills as professional educators
- distribution of teaching materials, research findings and learning resources for universities and schools
- the management of School of Engineering initiatives such as overseas student support and engineering competitions
As well as providing a valuable resource for achieving teaching excellence within the University of Liverpool, we support engineering education nationally and receive funding from organisations such as JISC, HE-STEM and the HEA.
Our work includes continuous professional development and we hold regular teaching workshops. These are available to non-University of Liverpool staff. Contact us to find out more.
